Holbrook Launches New Community Room

Quincy Housing Authority staff joined residents at Holbrook Housing Authority to celebrate the opening of their new community room on Tuesday, September 12^th. The residents at Holbrook Housing Authority had gone through some challenging times of neglect at the property, prior to the QHA signing a management agreement with Holbrook in 2022. Since that time, QHA heavily invested resources into the property to improve the lives of residents. James Marathas, QHA Director, Colleen Whalen, Assistant Executive Director for Managed Agencies, maintenance staff and property management, have made great strides. Under this new leadership agreement, QHA delivered with the thorough cleaning of community spaces, conducting unit repairs, landscaping, and extensive financial accounting. The community room opening was a proud moment for QHA staff who view this as a cornerstone to a year-long effort in building a better HHA to serve its residents.
